Pet Insurance

Veterinary medicine can be very expensive and $30,000-$40,000 bills are not unheard of in today’s world for veterinary care, especially for just a few days of veterinary emergency care.  Because of this, Mobile Veterinary Services currently recommends you obtain pet insurance for your animals as soon as possible if you can afford it (some insurance companies require a period of time before you may actually be able to use your insurance plan).  Mobile Veterinary Services currently is not and has never been associated with any Veterinary Medical Insurance company.  With insurance, Mobile Veterinary Services can provide more services for your animal and it will save you a lot of money if your animal needs additional/emergency care.  The younger your animals are able to obtain insurance, the cheaper it will be and the more they will be covered for as pre-existing problems usually will not be covered under most insurance plans.  This means your animal must already have insurance before seeing Dr. Lam if you want them to be covered under the insurance which can literally save you thousands of dollars.  Trupanion as well as VPI insurance are great plans but we suggest you to price shop to find whatever insurance company provides you the best coverage for your animal at the price you are able to afford.  There are even plans which cover most if not all of the exam fees as well as your animals deworming and parasite testing, vaccinations or titer, FeLV/FIV test or heartworm test, microchiping, flea and/or heartworm preventive, blood screen or x-ray or EKG, urinalysis, Echocardiography, Ultrasound, and CT scan just to name a few.  The simple fact is that if you can’t afford medical services for your animal when they are in need, they will suffer.  We will work with you and your insurance policy to get your animal the very best care possible.  Please don’t hesitate to contact Mobile Veterinary Services to learn more about Veterinary medical insurance.  Trupanion will actually give you 30 days of free coverge if you get your animal examined by a veteriarian (a service Dr. Lam now provides).
